I. General Foundation (Common Features of Both Cylinders)
The cylinder is the core rotating cavity of the mill, a horizontal hollow cylinder, made of steel plates welded together (commonly using Q235, 16Mn low alloy steel plates), with flanges welded at both ends to fit end covers and a hollow shaft. It is mounted on the main bearings and driven by the motor to rotate at a low speed.
1. Core Function: It accommodates the grinding media (steel balls / steel rods) and the materials to be ground; rotating to lift and impact the media for grinding the ore; it must withstand the continuous impact and alternating loads from the media and materials, and must have high rigidity and bending strength.
2. General Structural Components
1. Inner wall with wear-resistant lining: To prevent the steel media from directly wearing the cylinder shell;
