At present, the mainstream in industry is divided into two categories: SCR denitrification and SNCR denitrification.
1、 SCR denitrification (selective catalytic reduction)
The most mainstream and efficient denitrification technology currently available
● The working principle is to inject ammonia/urea into the flue gas at 300-420 ℃, and under the action of a catalyst, reduce NO ₓ to harmless nitrogen and water.
● Denitrification efficiency: 85% to 95%
● Core equipment
o SCR reactor (with internal catalyst module)
o Ammonia spray grille (AIG)
o Urea/ammonia preparation system
o Soot blower (sound wave/steam)
Advantages: High efficiency, stable compliance with standards, suitable for ultra-low emissions of large units
Disadvantages: Requires catalysts, high investment and operating costs
2、 SNCR denitrification (selective non catalytic reduction)
Simple and low-cost denitrification technology
● The working principle is to directly spray ammonia or urea solution in the high temperature zone of 850-1100 ℃ in the boiler furnace, react with NO ₓ to generate nitrogen and water, without the need for a catalyst.
● Denitrification efficiency: 40% to 60%
● Core equipment
o Urea/ammonia water preparation tank
o Measurement and conveying module
o Furnace high-temperature spray gun
● Advantages: Low investment, small footprint, simple system
● Disadvantages: Low efficiency, greatly affected by furnace temperature
3、 Common supporting systems
1. Reducing agent system: urea to ammonia or liquid ammonia evaporation
2. Spray mixing system: ammonia spray grille, spray gun
3. Reactor: SCR dedicated catalyst module
